LYRA ULIMA

Lyra is an incredibly diligent and studious girl. She excels in all her assignments and her outstanding academic performance makes herself known as one of Sky City High School’s top students and anticipated valedictorian by her classmates, including the school faculty members. As an honor student in one of NYC’s top-ranked performing arts institutions, she was recognized by Harvard University scholars and received an offer to attend Harvard’s Pre-College program, during the summer after her freshman year of high school. At SCHS, she is also the librarian aide and student council secretary. Lyra Ulima is the younger sister of the 2015 SCHS valedictorian and Harvard summa cum laude alumni, Sage Ulima, who is now a successful computer engineer. Lyra enjoys singing, reading, playing violin, strategizing, and organizing. She has a pet peeve towards anything that isn’t planned out or developed orderly. Lyra is a kind individual, but often tends to turn down others’ requests, unless it has anything to do with academics. She knows that her older sister wants to see her follow a similar path that she took, in order for her to obtain a successful future, and Lyra worries that she would let Sage down if she gets distracted even one bit from her studies. However, her recent ambitions led her to think differently about this concern.
